[AddOn] Aux - Enhanced Auction House Interface

Hey Bit,
stupid question. Can your Aux mimic Informant? I mean, not just tooltip. if I turn off Informant, then GarbageFu can't get vendor prices and doesn't evaluate anything, thus puts nothing on drop/sale list. So I have to enable Informant, and EnhTooltip by requirement, and then I have double info on my tooltips :-/

No, you would have to change that addon. However, you can turn off all aux tooltip information (except for the historical value which informant doesn't provide anyway) or alternatively i'm pretty sure informant also has options to turn everything off.

Bit,

I've been using your Addon for a month now as a professional AH trader. It has been instrumental in buying my mount, my spells, and that of my guildmates with whom I share my wealth. 1000 Thanks!

I want to refine and streamline my work. Maybe you can point me in a direction or consider my ideas.

I keep a spreadsheet that I update manually once per day. This spreadsheet automatically calculated standard deviations from the median price. When I get a certain STDEV + your addon confirmed a market price irregularity that's my signal to buy. It's a double confirmation strategy.

MOST AH goods have static prices but SOME actually trend. Black Lotus right now is an example. At that point standard deviations fall out of use. What I would like to have is some sort of exponential moving average function that would detect when price has moved back to the moving average rather than the median.

I also have not yet found a mail addon that can operate independently to track Auction Buy/Sells/Expirations. Modern AH Addons on Live do this function. I would really like something like this to begin analyzing what items are making me the most gold/what items I'm losing more on deposits/AH cuts. Any suggestions?

Beancounter from the Auctioneer suite probably comes closest to that.

Not sure what you're expecting from that EMA. "that would detect when price has moved back to the moving average" what does this mean exactly? Moving averages are generally bad at dealing with trends as they always lag behind them.

I have Beancounter running I think as a prerequisite for Auctioneer. I don't know how to access the database. Any suggestions?

If I had an EMA or some other MA I could then calculate a standard deviation from that MA as opposed to what I am doing now with standard deviations from the median which is going to be lagging even more when the price of something trends. Overall, this is not nearly as useful since 99% of AH item prices are static.

Delete your Aux savedvariables.

I think it's supposed to add an AH tab for itself where you can see its data.

Well, Aux' median is only for the last 11 daily data points and slightly time weighted so it will lag behind only ~4 days. An EMA wouldn't be much better unless you use a coefficient so large that you practically have only a daily value.
