If I had an EMA or some other MA I could then calculate a standard deviation from that MA as opposed to what I am doing now with standard deviations from the median which is going to be lagging even more when the price of something trends. Overall, this is not nearly as useful since 99% of AH item prices are static.

Ok, I've nearly lost 8k for the last 3 weeks since I'm relying entirely on Aux (dont get me wrong, it's an incredible addon but to be used with brain)
I wish Bit added some feature like "cart" or "wishlist" while doing full scans with filters so I can add the items I'm interested in in that "cart"/"wishlist" and make a search for each one of the items that appear to be profitable after the scan results. Since aux doesnt provide that "cart" and I'm too lazy to manually type down every item, I'm buying it blindly and losing a lot of money :P

Best regards,

Hm, well, don't do that xD The profit search can't really be used like that anyway. 90%+ will always be false positives, that just cannot be prevented no matter how good the underlying calculations. It's mainly meant to make it easier to spot good deals where you know the worth of the item. In the end the value has to be derived from the scanned data somehow and for some items all the scanned prices will be wrong.

Even if you do a specific search for every item that's still not going to necessarily tell you if you could resell it profitably. You really shouldn't buy items where you don't know what they're really worth.

That's kinda why I made a separate addon for this sort of thing - snipe. (it doesn't work at the moment because the nost AH sorting is bugged and new auctions don't appear on the last page)

Basically the only way to do automated or semi automated mass buying without losing money is by manually compiling a list of items with max-prices where you know you will make profit. (could also be done with an aux filter if you don't need completely automatic buying)

Well, let's say Libram of Voracity has popped in the scan as profitable search with buyout price 48g and percent of its Aux value of 50%. However, what Aux wont show me(depending on the filter ofc.) is that there are 20 more librams with buyout price of 55g. So buying the libram with the hope to sell it for 96g while there are 20xlibramsx55g is not profitable at all :P. That's the reason I'm asking for such wishlist/cart in order to scan the AH for Libram after the full scan.

Edi: I guess removing the % filter will to the job, kind of.

Looking forward to it!

Don't really understand that concept. Shouldn't I compile list of items with min-prices ?

Yeah no I see how this might be useful, I'm just saying even with that feature you can't use a profit search like this without losing money. As for the feature you're requesting, it's kinda the same as the resuming of more than just the last scan that someone's requested. (then you could use the right click shortcut to search the specific results and afterwards return to the table of the full scan) I just haven't yet been able to figure out an elegant way to add this.

It's already released. There's a thread in this board. Just won't work on nost until they fix their AH sorting (nor will auctioneer's bottomfeeder or other similar addons)

Let's say you know that felcloth usually goes for 1g a piece, mooncloth goes for 5g a piece and black lotus goes for 20g a piece, so you might add say a 50s filter for felcloth, 3g filter for mooncloth and 15g filter for black lotus: or/or/and/item/felcloth/max-buyout/50s/and/item/mooncloth/max-buyout/3g/and/item/black lotus/max-buyout/15g
Now you have a query that will scan the whole AH and list all such items below the specified prices. i.e., ones where you can be sure you'll make profit. Do this for all items where you know the price.

Hello, I love this addon but I need help with a fix please. I keep getting error messages and it wont let me search or look at items. I tried reinstalling the new version multiple times, and I turned off all addons and it still doesn't work.

Getting the error
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Bad argument #1 to 'tinsert' (table expected, got nil)
File: Interface\AddOns|Aux-Addon\cache.lua
Line: 122
Count: 1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is after updating to the new version. Already cleared savedvariables just in case

Checked sniperrino, seems solid.
Any way to set auto-buyout/auto-bid on the above criteria in Aux?

I had one of the early versions of this addon, didnt think you would take the addon so far as it is now, so didnt look into updating it. I must say the current version is pure awesome, good job!
