TY for the maps update, but the PvP map doesnt work anymore..

Getting lags every 2 sec, small but irritating,, 2,61 installed again.

Questie Toggle Button is on the Worldmap where it's always been. :) Well... is back now.

PvP map? You mean the Battlemap in Battlegrounds? I haven't stepped into a BG yet. I'll have to check on that. What's it doing exactly? Not coming up at all? Error'ing? Not closing when you hit Esc? Having babies?

Do you get lag when you UN-track all your quests or just in general? Did you try using /questie clearconfig? That is key since a lot of the character settings was changed. If it's trying to reference something that isn't there it should error out... not sit and spin.

Dyaxler,,

I tested this for a few hours on two different characters. The lag seems to start whenever the quest tracker is enabled. It doesn't start right away but something triggers it. Its a consistent frame rate drop every 2 seconds. The only fix I found is to use the "/questie tracker off" command. If you turn the tracker on the lag comes back right away.

Interestingly enough the lag doesn't happen when you relog until you play for a little bit. Hope this helps!

Edit - p.s. I forgot to mention that I did clear variables on both characters as an attempt to correct.

I noticed the same thing (lagging every 2 seconds) if the amount of tracked quests is more than 8 or 10. I had to manually reduce their quantity to 3-4 and it helped.
Also there is a problem with the tracker header, it doesn't update data automatically and requires /reload ui.

I cannot move the quest tracking window, it's stuck in the middle my screen. Also, whenever I open the map, it opens in Wetlands when I'm in Silithus. Also noticing some jerky lag, but not sure if that's from the update or not. Also, when I hide the quest tracker, it pops back up whenever I complete a quest. It's in the middle of the screen and I can't move it. It also pops up after you change zones even if you have it disabled.

Also confirmed that the lag was coming from this addon. I deleted it, and everything is running fine now. The previous version ran fine for me. Thank you!

I have a question about quests that i already completed. If i upgrade from 2.0.13 to 2.62, will the quests that i already completed show up for me? And if they do how do i how do i get rid of them?

I am also getting the lag every 2 seconds or so, it seems to start after around 10 mins after entering the world or reloading the ui. It is not game breaking at all and this addon is still incredible it is just a very slight, and hopefully fixable issue.

Apart from that everything is absolutely brilliant. :)

I've released v2.63 - Tons of tweaks and fixes so please read the release notes here:
https://github.com/AeroScripts/QuestieD ... ses/latest

Highlights:
  • Worldmap should be working as intended.
  • Performance issues and lag pertaining to the QuestTracker should be gone.
  • Added the ability to turn on the QuestArrow via the Worldmap and Minimap.
  • You can turn off the Arrow by right clicking on it.
  • Root cause analysis for the "hover over object" FPS drop or lag.

If you upgrade, your settings won't change. I suggest that you do a "/questie clearconfig" in game once you upgrade. This will clear your settings WITHOUT clearing your quest database.

However, in this new release v2.63 I added a new command line feature... "/questie NUKE". This command will wipe out all your settings including the quest database.

My quest database is the !Questie.lua in World of Warcraft Classic\WTF\Account\%USERNAME%\Nostalrius Begins PvE\%CHARACTERNAME%\SavedVariables right?

Correct but the in game commands only work "per character"... if you have more than one character then you'll have to wipe out all of them in each characters SavedVariables folder. Or use the in game commands.

So i will have to use /questie clearconfig for each character, right?
Just in case i backed up each character's quest database.
