Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

First of all can I test addons on another server before I start on this one or would the settings still linger on that server if I would save the settings or It would be best to just configure all this when the server launches?

I would love it if anyone knew some good addons or where to get them, also I would prefer: some hotbar addon/UI and timers also meyby a mage addon if there is one. Also anything else out of that of addons would be a plus.

you can test addons on other servers. but your addon settings are specific to that server. so you'd have to reconfigure them on nostalrius....unless someone knows a way to import the settings?

wowfolder/WTF/accountname(rename this to nostalrius account name)/servername(rename this to nostalrius server name)/charactername(rename this to nostalrius character name you are using).

If that wasn't confusing enough, then I don't know what is. Those files have your character addon settings saved.

if your character name was riki on server maruki, with account name of 123 you would get: wowfolder/WTF/123/maruki/riki and you would have to rename those let's say:
wowfolder/WTF/pettytheft/nostalrius/thief

Yes you can test addons on other servers. I've been using Vengeance for this. All you'll have to do afterwards is copy the configuration files, which are organized in the game directory by account/server/character. Assuming the account name is the same on each server, then you just need the character files at the end of the path. Move it to the end of the new path for Nostalrius. If the account name is different, then the entire path will be different and you'll have to copy a few additional files from inside the account folder. These files are inside the account folder, but not titled as a server.

There are other databases floating around, including a few Feenix addon bundles, but I don't recommend those, as many of the addons are actually outdated, meaning you could get better versions for 1.12. The site I linked here has the newest version of mods, but it's not a complete list. Some mods you will have to hunt for specifically

You just use copy/paste inside the game directory, and accept every overwrite prompt from Windows.
