Auctioneer bug

Sometimes Auctioneer will scan the auction house for 30 minutes, but then not update or save any of the results of the scan. At first I thought it might be due to other addons, so I disabled everything besides Auctioneer and its dependencies (Stubby and one other I can't remember). The problem persists. Does anyone have an idea what I might be doing wrong, and how I can avoid this? Very frustrating to waste 30 minuets on an empty scan.

Has someone else at least experienced a similar issue with Auctioneer, or does it work just fine every time you scan for the rest of you? Maybe it's an issue with the version I'm using?

What version of auctioneer are you running? Are you running WoW as an admin?

From my Auctioneer.toc file:
## Version: 3.9.0.1063 (Kangaroo)
No I do not run WoW as admin. Then again I never in 10 years have done that, and I never used to have this issue before. But if that could affect it, hey I'll give it a shot.

I think this problem has to do with the overall amount of auctions posted on Nostalrius.
From that screenshot it looks like you are scanning the entire AH at once. Uncheck the box next to Misc/Reagent/Recipe/Quiver/Projectile/Trade Goods and scan. Then uncheck those and check Consumable/Container/Weapon/Armor to complete the 2nd scan.
Kind of annoying having to do two scans, but it is the only way I can update my data with an AH this big.

It's funny, I have asked about this several times in game and everyone acts like it's totally normal.
Also, watch out if you try to let auctioneer automatically split your stacks for auctions. For example, if you have 20x sharp claw and you want it to post 20 auctions of 1x sharp claw each, it will do a bunch correctly but then suddenly decide it's going to start doing 2x sharp claw each. I have confirmed this several times with different items.

Yeah I learned that one the hard way lol. Thanks for the heads up.
All right I'll give individual category scanning a shot. Thanks guys.

I have been using auctioneer-3.9.0.1000 scanning works but has some bugs
There are many versions in between, might be some that work better.

do you have problems bidding or buying items in auctioneer's search tab? or the results you get are outdated?
