Good news, I've actually tested it and it DOES work with Prat =)

But no guarantees for other Chat addons though. For example WIM displays whispered messages that should actually be hidden. I will require special support... I'm working on it

I am actually preparing a similar addon, but now you've made it there is no need I start on one.

However, it have one feature your addon doesnt have: automatic (temp) ignore:
- If someone post the same message again, that message will be ignored (usually gold spammers and guild recruitment).
- SENTENCES IN ALL CAPS
- multiple lines from same char within same second

To that I developed a hashing algorithm, so each message could be uniquely identified by a number - just an idea for improvement.

The features you mentioned would be really useful but I don't think they really need to be a core part of my addon. SuperIgnore is supposed to ignore players for a period of time, e.g. 1 week or forever... but ignoring someone for posting multiple lines within a second shouldn't put someone on the ignore list IMO. What you really want to do is silence specific messages, not completely ignore a player.

That's why I think you should create a separate addon for your ideas. (I can help if you want)

True, but the intention was to either ignore (gold spam) or mute specific messages (guild spam) or repeated messages posted in multiple channels ("LFM Onyxia 30/40" in /1, /2 and World).

I've made a few addons already, so the coding part should be the least. I just see a certain overlap here

It would be better to create 2 separate addons so that players can install what they really need.
Btw I think SpamThrottle does already block duplicated messages. Maybe you want to look into that
