Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

As the title says, are there any addons that will make leveling a little smoother? What have you used in the past and can suggest?

Questing -
- Questie (best vanilla quest helper, hands down)
- Cartographer (no map fog, coords)
- ShaguQuest (your portable database, literally ALL info you might need is available trough few commands)

Also, take my advice and download and install following addon pack. You will benefit greatly from it as it will show you alot of usefull things about items you get.
- Informant
- Auctioneer
- Stubby
- Enchantrix (in case you are enchanter)
- EnhTooltip

Cosmetic stuff I'd recommend -
- Luna Unit Frames (imo best unit frame addon for vanilla, has it's flaws tough)
- Xloot
- CustomNameplates (download this, you won't regret it. If you play with enemy nameplates ON, this is a must have. Imo playing with nameplates is a must lol )
- Ring Menu (BEST addon you won't ever need... yea, sounds weird. That's why you need to try it to understand what I mean )
- Discord action bars (in case you are like me and can' stand that ugly default look)
- Nice Damange (changes the dmg font into much better looking one)
- vQueue (amazing grouping feature, simply a must-have if you like doing dungeons during leveling, get it and profit. Will save your, if not hours of time looking for dungeons)

There is alot of others I use, list would be endless... raiding addons, pvp addons... but since you asked for leveling... here you go

I have Questie already, but I have a slight issue with it, hoping you know whats up? A few quests are showing up on my map as being available, but when I go to the alleged quest giver, there is nothing available. Any idea? I would have assumed its a level based thing, but one of the quests is in the very beginning of the Dwarf starting area.

that's common problem with Questie.

It shows WHERE quests are available, not really showing WHEN you will get them.
Even when you complete them, you will still see them marked on the map.

Imo it's slight flaw that just need some time to get used to.
I see it as a handy thing which shows me where can i find more quests when i'm done with standard hubs.

Take my advice and don't go to those quests until you see that some chain won't get you there. You might loose precious time to get there just to see you can't still get the quest. When you get regular quest hub done then go and check out those side quests marked on the map.

I think Shagu quest is much better the Questie, it does all you need and does it better and less buggy then Questie.
