Hi,
I was wondering if this addon is able to automatically reset for each encounter.

No, it continues counting until you reset it (/swstats rv)

Is there a more updated version btw. Because the one in the Nos Addon Pack doesn't seem to work properly, for me it doesn't for example register dispels and decurses. Or do you have a better alternative?

that's because swstats reads from the combat log and those do not appear in the combatlog in vanilla afaik.
this version we are using was made during the pre-tbc patch, where those started to appear in the combatlog

I think there should be a message in 1.12, like "You cast Remove Lesser Curse." etc. Can't check it right now though.

Youfie, the problem is the message from other decursers etc does not show up, so you cannot see who decursed or dispelled a target - and therefore it does not show up in SW Stats.
I have always thought it was a bug in the Mangos core, but ... looking at LYQ's explanation it may be that simple: added in TBC.

I cant really tell you what was in combat log on decursing 10 years ago, but some messages from combat log are indeed just missing... like "You gain 1 extra attack from Windfury" for example... this shouldnt be too hard to confirm by just checking some wow fights from 2005/2006 with alot of decursing needed
