Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

World is pretty unmanageable with repeated (and sometimes unwanted) messages. The SpamThrottle addon helps by eliminating duplicated messages, with a configurable timeout. It also has an unlimited user-defined keyword block list, and ability to block seeing messages from an unlimited list of playernames.

To install: Go to GitHub at the URL above, click on the "Download ZIP" button, unpack the zip file, and then place the SpamThrottle directory in your ../Interface/Addons directory under your WoW installation folder.

Type /st or /spamthrottle to bring up the config menu. Any questions feel free to pst Mopar (alliance) in game.

Bump this thread if you try it and find it useful. Feel free to include it any addon packs or other sites you choose to.

Latest version: 1.6 *new* as of September 28, 2015. Recent modifications:
- Added in channel whitelist
- Made dup filtering and /y filtering optional (see config menu)
- Added in more gold seller sites that have popped up recently to default keyword list
- Fixed some bugs

Thought i'd bump this in case any others need a filter that makes world chat more manageable.

Does this have the ability to block any messages from players in a specific guild? Biggest problem I had with spam was from people in a specific guild the other day "<Islamic State in Kronos>"

Not at the moment, sorry. You can ban players in your personal chat by name, or by message text, but not by guild.

However, the name list is unlimited in length, so you can ban as many as you want. Note that they can still see your messages and tells; the ban is only your view of their messages in your chat channels.

Does it notify players that I'm ignoring them if they whisper me, like the regular (Blizzard UI) ignore list does?
