Password reset 10 day timer

Hallo
I dont really understand why the timer is set to 10 days? It makes it impossible for people that have lost their accounts to have a shot of getting it back. I understand the timer so people selling accounts cant scam people, but as long as the staff of Nostalrius, wont help out with lost accounts there should be a way for the players to get their accounts back faster/easier?

We appreciate the suggestion; however, for now we will be keeping the password reset feature as it is. A reminder for you is that we do not recover lost accounts and you can refer to our Terms of Use for further information:

The player is responsible for his own account safety. You should:
Have a complicated password;
Never share your account details;
Connect yourself from a safe place;
Never download unsafe files that might contain keyloggers.

Yes i understand, but i did everything to protect my password, never told anyone and allways have a good antivirus protection up.
I understand that you are trying to make sure people are not getting scammed but that isnt really your concern is it? The way i see it is that if you would help out people that can prove they have lost their accounts i will garrenty you will see a big drop in accounts getting sold on the server since people dont dare pay money for something they have a big chance of loosing?

Nobody can prove that.
You can mb kind of prove that you have created it (you can even fake that), but you can't prove that you didn't sold your account and try to scam somebody else, for example.

And sorry to mention it, but if your account got stolen, you haven't done everything to protect it.
