ban appeal

I have a hard time with this whole silithus thing. On one hand thereally are people like Mopar that are being drama queens about 5 people getting banned. On the other hand, I wouldn't have known that it was a bug either.
However, the op says he was only there 2 or 3 days. That is a very short time to mine and gather that much material. Add up the amount of materials in his screenshot. That absolutely works against his case for me. I have to believe that I would have thought to myself that it seemed too good to be true and asked someone about it, or sent a ticket to make sure.

meh i mean i mined 9 hrs the first day

you get 4-5 thorium per vein

i have ~95 stacks of thorium(market value 161g btw) which is 1900 ore
1900 / 4.5 = 422 veins
19-23 veins every 45mins
422 veins / 20veins per 45 = 21 full circuits
21 x 45mins = 950 minutes or 16 hours
16 hours of mining over 3 days

now imagine the people who had 150+ arcane crystals and didnt get banned

how much thorium do they have

"I didnt know"

Is a real bad defense

"I didnt know robbing someone is wrong"

"I didnt know that punch would kill him"

"I didn't know I shouldn't text and drive"

I'd see it this way, any miner who comes to Silithus has no veins to mine because you have them on a spawn lap, as in it was physically impossible for them to ever get a node with the method you executed.

Sorry but if spending 2-3 days getting a couple hundred in Mats isn't a big deal I can't imagine how leveling a character is either.

There's just no right or wrong in this case, simply a no tolerance approach to the

"ignorance" defense

If I found a mob that 100% dropped Alcor's sunrazor.

I didn't know it's a bug isn't a defense

If I knew a certain lvl of lockbox has Alcor's dropping and I specifically went out to harvest that lockbox over reporting the bug it's the same thing, you're abusing a bug to gain an advantage its right there in ToU its a perm ban

Man I wish I could mine even an eighth of the amount of veins these timer abusers amounted.

I guess this is the last word on the subject. It's over. They're leaving the thread open so everyone can throw a rose on the grave.

I already said what I said..but I have to rephrase, All miners mine a circuit every time in WOW. That's what miners do. I don't have a miner on this server, but I broke my spacebar on mining in retail. Regardless of whether the nodes spawn at the same place at the same times, Miners are still gonna mine in circuits. That's what ya do!

The fact that they spawned the same place the same time, isn't because the miners where working in a predictable fashion, they spawned that way because that is how they were left programmed. No one here signed up to further their degree as a WOW historian, they signed up to play a game.

I wouldn't know that's not the way it was in Vanilla retail and even if I did I wouldnt presume it wasn't set in a way the Staff of Nost wanted it. They've already done things that aren't Vanilla. Why is the onus on the player?

Also, if that's what you got from just three days of mining...I have to ask, is every miner hording right now? Because there's NEVER that many crystals in the AH. I know because I transmute and look everyday. What are you guys doing???? Seriously... that's a lot of wealth represented there. Maybe if I had amassed so much in such short order..I might think there was something Wrong just for the fact, THERE IS NEVER THAT MANY CRYSTALS IN THE AH.

They're holding the economy hostage and waiting for the 'right time' to put AC's up. Forcing demand, increasing the price, and exceedingly profiting from it.

Ive sold about 40 arcane crystals and countless thorium over the past couple months, all gained exclusively from mining in silithus and keeping track of timers. Ive seen Blademasterx a few times there. I think he had a mage friend with him a few times. I didnt get banned though
