My account associated with the character dives has been banned, it says when i login that it has been closed and when I visit the homepage it says that i should be unbanned by october 15th 10.00.40am, does this mean I am permanently banned?

yes. Staff does not ever give temp bans. They say that perm bans are rare, but thats a lie. its the only thing they use.

Okay, thanks for the info. but the ban claims i was botting which isn't the case, how do I make an appeal? I was literally permanently banned for being afk in an alterac valley if so

You don't. Because you can only get detected as botting if there is a 3rd party software running in the background. Those bans are automatic, not by GM's. If you werent botting, you wouldnt get banned for it. The only mistake auto ban is probably cheating and sometimes gold trafficking.

Haven't run any software today that I haven't had on another day so I doubt it's an automatic ban. If it's automatic, shouldn't I be able to find out which program caused the ban? I just want a conversation with a gm not on forums because I'm honestly confused

Whoa whoa whoa. There are various levels of bans from an amount of days to permanent. Staff is more than happy to examine a ban as long as they have a character name asociated with it to check on. They have, on rare occasion, overturned bans.

To answer a question above, yes we do give temporary bans to players which have repeated a mistake (small one).

This is a lie, not every person getting punished writes on the forums, usually the real zug lifers make appeals with semantics even though they're guilty.
