permanently banned for asking for a mage portal?

Hey my character's name is Nicegame (pvp server) and I was in Darnassus and I wanted to meet up with my friends in goldshire so I asked trade chat once and two mages who were in the area if I could get a port, then I got banned. I read the rules and didn't see anything about how this is against the rules so I'd appreciate it if someone could look into this.

I've already made a new account due to random banning. I spent over 6 hours yesterday leveling characters only to get banned for no reason. I just wanna know why so it doesn't happen again, it's ridiculous that they don't even state a reason before banning, or give warnings.

They have made some changes to the system that autobans for gold seller spam recently I believe. There have been quite a few of these appeals in the last week. The fact that you're level 6 and used the general chat channels got you autobanned. Just keep an eye on this post and bump it every 8 hours or so to keep it toward the top of the pile. Sorry, wish there was a better answer I could give.

Edit: this may not be the actual reason for your ban. I'm just going off of the recent rise in these exact type of appeals in the last week.
