Request for myself and community

Hello.

Some days ago I deleted my characters from the game. I was not hacked. I was not drunk or high and I did it by myself I mean there is no brother, sister, mom, girlfriend or even cat who may be involved in deletion of my characters. I decided to quit the game by doing it. Of course I have read your rules and I know your policy concerning character restoration It was a key point for me when I did It Make sure I would not be able to return even If I wanted.

I wish I were strong enough to play less or quit. I understand that you guys run huge server and amount of such requests might be enormous and that is why you set such rule from the start to not overload administration with players drama but also to deal with account sellers, scams, etc.

I have read multiple topics with the same requests. I know that amount of spent time in the game does not affect your decision. It is obvious that you had never restored characters and always provide same answer because you have principles. If you allow It once that will make other people do the same.

There could be some circumstances which should not worry Nostlarius administration but some of us may be too impulsive and might regret their choice. On the other hand, major players over 20 and we have to take responsibility for our actions and Nostalrius should not fix players mistakes. I get it.

Administration, devs, GMs are volunteers. I realize that most of you met online and live thousand miles away from each other. It is hard to find trustworthy person on the internet who will be GM or dev for free and will not abuse the power he was given. It might be another reason why you do not restore characters because only few people have access to database and those people have more important things to do.

According to forum I can tell you that Nostalrius team open for dialogue and take into consideration feedback from the community. I faced with a such dilemma and I am asking for help. You can tell me feel free to level up new characters but I just can not force myself do it again. I enjoyed playing on Nostalrius but situation drastically changed. There is still tiny little hope in my mind. I understand I am asking for too much
instead I could offer my candidature for cases like mine to deal with and relief pressure on administration of the server. I assume what the answer might be but at least I tried. In the end It is just a game and those pixels should not make anybody upset.

The Terms of Use was drafted and published so that we may have a set of general rules on the server. We always follow these, and never make exceptions; else we have to make exceptions for every player.
The general rule on this topic is that we never restore deleted characters. This is because the only time a character is deleted is either by a player, or by some unauthorized (or otherwise) access. Seeing as how account security is the player's responsibility, in either case it is the fault of the player (either by deleting it themselves, or not properly securing their account). This is how it always has been, and there are currently no future plans to change this.
