So my account (character name is Sank) has been perma banned a few days ago due to a forbidden gold transaction.

At first I didnt have a clue about what the GM was talking about, but after a couple days of questionning my IG relatives I found what happened exactly and well the least I can say is that out of the three accounts you've banned after this event, only one deserves it.

Let me explain myself.
So I'm a long-time friend of Kolosov, an alliance player and we often spend evenings on vocal chat talking about stuff...Well this specific day we were talking about pve progress and how much I struggle to buy enough consumables for BWL due to my RL schedule and that i'm thinking about having a PvE break because of it.
After a few minutes of talking he just says "I can help you with that" and just asks me to get to orgrimmar mailbox in 15 minutes and he will lend me a hundred golds.
So I get to that location, i get traded 100golds with my bank alt then immediately I bring my main character to the same location, trade the golds, run to AH and buy stuff. I thank Kolosov, I'm very happy about it, and life goes on.
You know what happens next.

A couple days after my ban, I get to discuss about it with him and after a while he admits he maybe fucked up a couple weeks ago and that he is probably the cause of my ban. Earlier in that same day he tells me his account with Kolosov has been banned too, saying he tried to sell his account.
So basically what he tells me is : He wanted to level engineer to 300 the day he gave me the golds, so what he did was to basically contact a gold seller by Skype, and buy 300golds. He knew he didnt need that much golds to level his profession so, knowing my gold issues, what he did was, after the paiment, he asked for the goldseller to give 100g horde side and 200g alliance side, instead of 300g alliance side only.
He quickly collected the golds in stormwind (yes i know his story by heart) then mentionned the name of my alt (shadyseller) as HIS alt, and told him he was waiting at org mailbox.
The goldseller traded the golds to MY alt, me thinking it was him and logged off.
It was very generous of him even though i would have to refund him some day, but he knew i would expressely refuse the golds if I knew it was from a goldseller...my rogue is worth 8 months of farming, I didnt want to risk it...I first asked him to trade the golds via neutral AH, but when he said its ok I have an horde alt with a couple hundred golds, I didnt get suspicious as i should have, and thought" well ok then..., as long as I get the golds"

I got involved with a forbidden gold transaction just because he was too lazy to get his ass to booty bay.

So you know my story, but now how can I prove it? And even though I prove it, i dont even know if that will change anything at all.

Well you, nostalrius staff, can verify my story by yourselves, just by doing an IP adress check.
by checking that, you will see that every bit of my story that you CAN actually verify, is completely true.
I dont know if I whispered someone or if there is a written proof at that very moment, I cant really recall, but i'm sure about my innocence.
My friend wanted to help me, but the way he helped me ended in a triple account ban. My account, my alt account, certainly because it received the golds first, and his account (deserved)

Instead of doing a killing spree and banning every account you have a doubt about in this affair (I can understand that though), How about investigating a little more, and when you finally get the proof that my Horde account wasnt willingly involved in this, or find out you dont have the proof of the contrary, maybe reduce the ban to a couple weeks/months?
I know I'm asking for a lot of extra work from you guys, and all that for a random player, but please put yourself in my shoes a second, read my thread again if needed, and think...don't you think something's not right? You maybe just have banned the wrong person for once...who knows?
Well one thing I'm sure about, I will never buy golds from a goldseller, I really love this server and I really don't deserve that permanent ban. But maybe I deserve a temporary one because I wasnt too precaucious and didnt think enough.

I just hope this case will be handled by a understanding GM, and his answer will totally affect the next two years of video games for me, whatever his judgement is.

So someone else bought gold for me. I met the gold-seller in person at the mailbox in Orgrimmar, and received 100 gold. I received purchased gold.

There's no reason to assume his story isn't exactly what he says it is, and he may well have got caught in the crossfire from receiving gold from someone else who bought it without his knowledge. But of course no way to know whether it's true or not.

This is exactly why I follow a policy of NEVER EVER accepting gold or items gifted to me by anyone no matter how much I've interacted with them before. It's unfortunate to have to do that, but ultimately safer.

I too got banned for accepting "illegal" gold from a friend, totally understand your situation.
As you said, all that detective IP check work they can do, they refuse to.
And instead of stripping you away from the illegal amount of gold you recieved they would rather strip you of everything you have ever achieved on their server. Which, as in your scenario is, months and months of work and commitment.

GMs here show no compassion or emotions, just strictly following the established rules.
Your best bet would be an understanding admin but what are the chances of that happening since Its already clear for me you are ought to be bit by the viper.
