Legitimate Ban Appeal

Legitimate Ban Appeal

by Gatewood » Thu Dec 03, 2015 10:42 pm

Hi!

A character on my account is named Duskwind, he is a 60 night elf warrior that I solo leveled to 60. I notice a lot of people getting accidentally banned by a spam chat filter today, not sure if this happened to me or not? I am a long time supporter and player of nos, haven't broken any rules and very confused!!! Please investigate!!!

-Duskwind

Edit: I am reading through other posts that have been banned for something called "gold trafficking"., and I believe this to be relevant to my case: yesterday I transferred my own gold in the amount of 180g and 4 travelers backpacks via my own two accounts (account 1: duskwind/firewood/massiveballs, account 2:Timestealer) to a new shaman that I created named massiveballs. I traded my own gold, myself, from my account #1 with the character duskwind, to the account #2 with the character named timestealer via the neutral auction house (which i lost 15% of gold back to you guys doing, but its the only way for me to get my own hard earned gold from alliance to horde in WoW), then traded that gold to my own troll shaman named firewood on Account #1, so that I could mail the gold and the 4 traveler's backpacks instantly to my new tauren shaman Massiveballs without any delay (because mail between same account characters is instant).

As per section VI of the terms of use and I quote:
"There are a few specific situations where you may have two characters in-game simultaneously:

* Transferring items between accounts;"

I did nothing outside of my own accounts and characters, if the system viewed this as gold trafficking accidentally then please review!! These are both my accounts:

account 1: Duskwind/Firewood/Massiveballs
account 2: Timestealer

In addition, I want to make something abundantly, overwhelmingly clear: I have spent my blood, sweat, and tears earning every single gold coin I have ever had by working the auction house. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours buying and reselling items on my own. I worked so hard making my money in game, that I was able to buy my epic mount when I hit 60.

I have NEVER trafficked gold, bought gold, or sold gold AT ALL. I am bringing this up because I have made large amounts of legitimate money, and have conducted face to face trades of items with hundreds of players on nos, I have been the GM of two large and successful positive guilds on nos, <Forsaken> on Horde PvP (The all undead wpvp community guild) as well as <MC Raiders> on Alliance PvE, through which a thriving and positive community emerged from in the earliest days on Nos, many players from which are now playing the the most successful guilds on the server.

I have earned every penny of my money through either a) Mind numbing, pain staking grinding of mobs, or b) playing the auction house, or c) watching trade chat for hours and conducting trades via whispers.

Thank you,

Duskwind

I would love to know what constitutes evidence of gold trafficking to you, because I have done no such thing and frankly you are lumping me in with numerous other bans obviously without even giving a hoot about my individual case. I would LOVE to see some evidence of me gold trafficking. Did you even read my post? How does ANY of that CONSTITUTE GOLD TRAFFICKING?

And I swear to god if a mod that is in all of these posts comes on here and says "lol gg make a new account dont buy gold again" with zero compassion towards community members whatsoever, I am going to rage. I have never bought/sold/trafficked gold EVER, and I DEMAND someone look into this further and do something right for a change for someone who has supported this project since the beginning and has been unfairly sentenced of a crime against the rules which I did not commit.

The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.

Hello,

Let's clarify some things first.
You are allowed to trade money / items / enchants ... between your own accounts (as soon as you respect the terms of use of course).
You are also allowed to use to AH in the way you want (either buy items or transfer items between factions for example).
You are also allowed to give items or money to your friends.
...
So the transactions you listed are just fine.

BUT, buying gold from gold selling websites always leads to a permanent ban of your account.
I just confirmed it for your character.

Please respect our rules in the future.

Regards,
Daemon
