Account Banned Permanently?

Hi there -

I just started playing Sunday, and I was asking a question on the PVP Server (just started this afternoon) and I didn't see the chat I typed in Trade, so I typed it again (still didn't see anything), and then tout d'un coup my account was turned off. I was asking a question about which gathering professions I should take for my first character on this server based on its economy.

Help! I love Nost this is very sad.

I have since read the chats/forums about how it's not recommended to use the chat feature until lvl 15 due to gold spammers...I did not realize this was the case, and will refrain from global chat until that level, could a GM please reinstate my character?

You attempted to use a public chat channel below level 15, which has incurred the wrath of the Nostalruse Automated Anti-Chinaman Defense System(™).

It is an imperfect system, as they have chosen to continuously up its sensitivity to combat increasing herro prease gord serrers instead of simply banning all of China, so you'll have to provide a character (not account) name in order for them to investigate and undo the ban.

Thanks Robo - I read through the history of the forums and the stickies and removed the account name from the post and just kept the name of the character that was banned from the PVP server.

I understand it's an imperfect system, but I would much rather not have people spamming for gold at $68.88 (seriously why is that their magic number) and completely understand why there's that rule in place for sub 15 characters.

Thank you in advance to the GMs/Staff for looking into this, and seriously thanks to everyone on these forums for being very detailed and attentive as to why the bans occur. It would have never occurred to me otherwise!
