Hey there,
I, along countless others, received a permanent ban some time during the 24th and the 25th of December.
Name: Caracortada (female orc warrior)
Realm: PvP realm
Reason: clicking a bugged thorium vein too many times
As I logged on the 24th sometime around 14:00 clock, i went to do some mining in BS. As many others experienced - the veins there would not despawn. At first i didn't think much about it as I figured the server would be shut down shortly after, and an appropriate roll-back would be applied, to make sure that the mats that were grinded through this exploit during that time-window would be removed - so i was just mindlessly running around BS (starting from Blackrock) and checking all the mines - which gave me around 60 ores and a large opal along with dense stones and 2 arcane crystals. This was not the case, so I decided to delete all of the gathered material (except for 2 crystals which I had sent to my bank by routine), as the last thing that I'd ever wish would be to exploit the game in a game breaking manner. I did not report to any GM's because several of my friends/guildies had already done this, so I deemed it unnecessary. This was probably around 14:30 or something, from that point on i HS'ed to Kargath and went afk for a while. Later, around 15:00 i got back on to send some bijous to my alt and to check on the situation, and I saw the announcement at 15:12.
To rinse it all up:
1. I had done no further exploitation after 15:12 server time (time of announcement)
2. All of the exploited items (except for those 2 crystals) was destroyed.
3. I sent 2 crystals to my bank character "Slaveworker" on the same account that was banned (and I will of course delete these if my appeal is accepted).
I had no footage or video of the whole thing, and I did not post on the forums nor in-game to raise GM awareness, as several of my friends (can mention some names on request if you want) had already made tickets, and the forums were already being spammed at that time (with referral to Setup's post, amongst others). Hence I deemed it unnecessary to burden GM's/forums further - although it would probably have been the right thing to do.
I hope that you can review my case - thank you for your time.
Best regards,
Caracortada
