Banned for what?

Playing my fury Warrior, Xranadar, in Arathi Highlands and I get bored of grinding so I log out to where I'm stuck at retrieving character info for a good 5 minutes. I clicked on cancel and proceeded to type in my account information to relog and it says unable to connect. So I tried this again probably 2-3 more times and then it says "This World Of Warcraft account has been closed and is no longer available for use." I looked it up in the forums and I came up with the conclusion that I tried to log in to many times and it told me to wait 15 minutes. Next day comes around I tried again it said unable to connect, then it said my account was closed....I don't know how or why this is a recurring thing, but I would like to play on this server again.
