The account attached to the above character was banned at approximately 2200 server time for account sharing. I wish to appeal this ban. I live with and am related to the individual I shared with.

According to this post

viewtopic.php?f=65&t=18123#p116726

a GM states it is acceptable to log into a family member's account and move characters on their behalf and that this does not violate usage terms.

Considering this post, and that many of us are longtime Blizzard players used to a similar policy, clarification of Nostalrius's policy before an immediate and permanent ban is requested.

Both of your accounts have been banned for second offense of Multiboxing & Account Sharing.

The Thread you're referring to is out of date and the earlier statement given there by a Gamemaster was not valid at any point.

You got the first warning regarding Multiboxing on January, 6th as well as a suggestion to read our Terms of Use.

You misunderstood the statement given in the linked Thread and thus thought that Account Sharing between family members would be allowed, which is not.

Since this ban is confirmed, it will not be lifted and this case is closed.
