Banned for..

So I was sitting at the neutral AH on my character when I was disconnected. I then attempted to reconnect to the server and was greeted with a 'your account is closed'. I can only assume that I was banned for what you believe is botting-- even though it's an add-on. Regardless, a few programming buddies and mine created it but interim I still receive a ban, and I can only assume they will receive a ban as well. I also opened a ticket the other day to discuss this with a GM, he said it's controversial, but allowed. So why the ban?
