Character missing

Hello,

I haven't been playing on Nostalrius for months now (maybe summer 2015).

I wanted to come back, but when arrived on the login screen, realized I forgot my credentials.
I wanted to do a password recovery but the account name was needed, which I forgot too. Using nicknames and emails combinations I often use, I had a positive match (I can mail the bound e-mail address and account ID to any GM).

The only character I had on the PvP server (the PvE one was in test phase back when I was playing) was an undead mage, about level 20+, named Akenash (I know that for sure because retrieved a conversation with a friend, I may even have a screenshot of me while leveling it somewhere).

The reasons I am writing to you are:

- The character Akenash is not present on my game account: no character on every server.
- I firstly thought it got deleted for being inactive too long, but the name Akenash is still in use (plus, I found on the forum that Nostalrius staff does not delete character)
- I wanted to post on the forum, but I can't do a "forgot password" there, even if my email is bound to an account (that's why I'm using a temporary account here).

Did something bad happen with my account data, or something ? Please enlighten me on the situation.

Character Akenash is still there, level 24 undead mage, on the PVP server. Last login was in September.

It's possible you found a different account name from the one that you had that character on. Look in your WTF/Account folder in your WoW installation directory to see if there are any others you were using.

We cannot provide the name of the account, or E-mail address, or even verify if the account/E-mail address combination is correct, for security reasons.

First of all, thank you for the reply. I'm glad that my character is still there !

Thing is I wiped my hard drive so I can't retrieve any files leading to account informations. Is there any way to send an email to the bound account so I can retrieve my credentials (because I still have access to my email addresses, but I don't remember which one was used, nor the account name) ? I also find strange that I have a second account on Nostalrius, with no characters created on it.

If needed, I can e-mail you with any of my addresses.

More generaly, what can a player do when he forgets his account name ?

I just found another matching ID/Email combo based on the same email address than the empty retrieved one.

Didn't know you could link multiple IDs to a single email address.

I will have to wait to get back home tonight to see if my character is on it, but if you just see a password reset procedure on the account where Akenash is hold, you can already mark this thread as solved!


EDIT: Indeed, I have found the account holding Akenash ! Thank you for the help. Problem solved.

I am currently have a similar issue yet I am able to log onto my original account. It is the only one I have and it has my other characters on it EXCEPT for my lvl 60 Hunter who I THINK, if I remember correctly, is named Amunra. It has also been a long time since I have logged in. When I go to server list it says i have 4 characters on the server which I SHOULD have but there are only 3. The lvl 60 hunter is missing. How can this be?
