banned permanently, not sure why

I was logged in as Nedre on Nostalrius PVE server and I saw adds about a gold selling web site (I can't recall the name of the web site, but I'll call it WEB_SITE in this post). The add messages were of this format:

cheap gold at WEB_SITE

I reacted sarcastically by saying

cheap shit at WEB_SITE
cheaters website at WEB_SITE

A moment later, I was locked out and I saw a message that said I was permanently banned. Was this for the language used, or was this because I was mentioning WEB_SITE? I was not trying to sell gold. On the contrary, I was getting quite irritated for seeing gold selling adds over and over again. Hence my reaction. Is the permanent ban fair?
