acct closed for no apparent reason

Dear admin/GMs,

My account has been closed just now for no apparent reason. I can't seem to find any explanation for the ban and I would like to contest it. It would be a shame to lose the account/character as I had been peacefully leveling and had accumulated about two days worth of played time. To lose that much progress due to a glitch in the system would be upsetting.

I think that this is a spurious ban.

Well, I did buy gold a while ago, but I had not realized that this was a bannable offense-- on the contrary, I was under the impression that it was part of your business structure. Please take a look at this deceptively legitimate-looking website. http://nostalrius.net

Seeing as they've got a nostalrius domain and graphic design, I thought, "OK, so this is how Nostalrius makes money." Now, upon closer inspection, I see the blurb at the bottom of the page about how they are in fact not officially affiliated with Nostalrius.

Basically, I was fooled. Since one can essentially buy gold on WoW retail (vis a vis game time tokens sold on the auction house), I thought that Nostalrius had a similar system in place.

Perhaps you will consider letting me back on my character? Now that I know that buying gold is not allowed on Nostalrius, I have no interest in doing it again. I just want to play, and I would really rather not retrace my steps leveling a warrior to 30 (a grueling task).

They don't make exceptions when a bannable offence is confirmed, not being aware of the terms of use won't save your account.

Wow, is a deceptive site though. For a new player if you just "browse" the tou and come a cross this site I can see a player thinking it's ok. Not an excuse of course but sorry to the OP
