Banned, for illegal gold transaction...?

It was my Birthday this past Wednesday and a friend of mine in game, traded me about 100 gold as a gift. I have been playing all week since then, everyday in fact, and have not traded or exchanged gold with any other players other than fro proper in game needs such as purchaseing an enchant for a weapon or a piece of gear or so... how can i resolve this rather than wait hours for the ban to lift?

Try to read between the lines. Sure, it was his birthday. But his "friend" was a known gold seller. And they only became friends after the OP paypal'd over some money.
