Banned account? GMs please help.

Character name: Petrollea, lv32 Troll mage
Last logged in: I think Wednesday 16.3.2016.

I tried logging in today and I got a response that my account is closed and no longer available for use.
I also cannot log into the web page to see account status - says "bad credentials".

To the very best of my knowledge, I did nothing wrong - just leveling, never shared my account or account details, never got into argument with anyone, never wrote profanities or illegal things, never sold or bought gold, hell I only had something like 12g last time I logged.

I do not understand how this is possible. I never advertised gold. I don't own any amount of gold to sell! Only level 32 and 12 hard earned coins!

An attempt at appeal:

My savedvariables.lua file has last been modified on 17.3. at 0:39 GMT+1, at the time I last played and logged out. If anything happened after that time, I was definitely hacked. I guess that can easily be checked by checking login IPs.

Anyway, is there anything I can do to get my account back, or should I just forget about it?

This account was banned because it was compromised as a result of the recent gold seller hack wave. The gold seller then likely proceeded to advertise their site with the account. This happened on March 18 at 07:08 server time.

The ban has been placed under compromised account review. The review may take some time to complete. We will get back to you with a determination or more instructions in this thread.
