Have you downloaded the game from the official sticky? I remember some months ago there were speaks of a compromised game client being linked on the forums.

I mean they found your password from somewhere.. Surely Nost's database hasn't been compromised..right?

You were likely permabanned because the person who hacked your account did something illegal while on it.

I have to say, it does make you feel rather insecure when Nost admin takes security so lightly. Surely there should be some sort of recourse when the afflicted has done NOTHING wrong in terms of securing his account but still gets hacked. Does the server have no sort of brute-force protection? Cant admin checks logs and see if chinese been logged into the account?

It doesn't work that way.


If the account was broken into by means of brute-force there's LITERALLY nothing the accounts owner could've done. In this case it is entirely upon admins to fix this, and I have no doubt they also will. The fact that they added IP-lock as a feature recently is proof enough that the chinese are brute-forcing accounts.
