Perma-banned after several weeks of inactivity, why?

I've been playing with a friend for a little while on the pvp server, and after a short break from the game I came back to the message "you have been permanently banned". Why? I do not have enough gold for it to be possible that I could've been gold trafficking. I am semi-low level, in crap gear and have next to no crafting resource, so obviously no exploit or hack have ever been used. Please, present in details your investigation and conclusion, because this feels a bit silly.
