Unique problem :)

Hello,

I've logged in to the game this morning only to see my whole interface in question marks, and everyone around me(me included) named Unknown. When i hover my mouse over the ping bar, it either shows 0ms or something ridiculous as 9999ms. Whenever i try and do any action whatsoever, like call a pet or cast Trueshot Aura, i get immediate DC. All of the content of my bags and gold and gear that i have seems to be intact, so it's not a question of a hack or anything remotely similar.

I've done following actions to try and figure out what could have gone wrong:

- changed my password - didn't help
- made a new, fresh install of the game - didn't help(this installation is without any addons whatsoever, so the problem is certainly not addon nor client related)

I was able to play the game perfectly fine last night, however, i woke up to this, and for past 1.5 hrs i've been trying to figure out how to get into the game and play it. Also, it's worth to mention that whole login process goes rather smoothly, so it's not like i'm experiencing any lags when logging into the game and entering my password and going tru account verification. However, once the game is "loaded", it never loads to the end. I can move around Ogri pretty "lagless", and see others move around me, but they are all "unknown" to me, and interacting with any NPC makes me DC.

Also, my character never shows himself, so i'm unable to see myself except in my character sheet, in which i appear snowy white, and unknown, therefore, my char is never fully loaded.

Remove the account name, unless you want to be hacked.

It is most certainly not caused by account settings, but something on your local computer or local network.
Are you using Wifi?
Are you on a shared net (neighbour browsing ... stuff)
Are your wow installation located on a network drive?

None of the things you mentioned are the issue here Yes i'm on wifi, but it's my own private one, so that's not the issue. Installation ain't on network drive, no one is browsing/using my network, and i have pretty tight security implemented on my home network so no one could snipe it even if they wanted too...unless they have like a year to bruteforce crack my wifi password, and i doubt anyone would be using their cpu time for that shit

same issue happened around 20hr GMT, i was getting constant dc's while rest of the guild was online and playing pretty lag-free....

If you are on a 64-bit version of windows, try the following:

- Make sure your game is closed
- Open a Windows Explorer (the file finder)
- Point it at your C:\ drive
- In upper right search box, search for WDB
- Delete all WDB folders it finds

Then try it out. If it still doesn't work, repeat the above for WTF folders.
