Want to know why account was banned

Character name: Geefr
Level 1 Human
Server: Nostalrius Begins PvP

I was banned when I was running through the trade district in stormwind. I was using a client that I downloaded from the forums I was using few addons and I was also using steam to launch the game so I could have the overlay to talk to my friends easier. I would appreciate knowing why I got banned.

The account associated with character Geefr on the PVP server was banned by our chat spam system. Please try to minimize the use of public chat channels on characters below level 15, and avoid the use of addons that put messages into chat.
