Exiledblade (rank 14 rogue) ban re-review

Exiledblade (rank 14 rogue) ban re-review

by propergamer1978 » Thu Sep 24, 2015 8:49 am

Greetings GM of Nostalrius,

I'd like to appeal on behalf of Exiledblade. There should have been multiple PMs to various GMs last night and today with regards Exiledblade. He's a new rank 14 alliance rogue in the guild <The Twilight>.

The guildleader, Mengwang, was banned yesterday for unauthorized gold transactions.
Exiledblade was also banned during that period for the same reason.

Exiledblade purchased 15 stacks of Mongoose elixir and 20 stacks of Elixir of Giants from Mengwang's alt for a total of 550g. Total trade window transaction was 6, each time 100 gold trade. This is for his own personal use, as he's an officer of the guild and also act as the tank, dps consumables guild bank (supreme, titans)

<The twilight> ran through their first BWL on Monday 21st, and depleted their consumables during this learning period, and afterwards Exiledblade used his 900 gold to replenish his stocks from Mengwang's bank alts. The purchase price was 550G. I'll provide a screenshot of the conversation between them:

30 stacks of expensive consumables which is roughly 18 gold per stack, which is slightly cheaper than the auction house. He did not know of mengwang's gold transactions when he did the trade.

I'll paste a chinese screenshot here of Exiledblade and I. He verified to me he didn't buy any gold, and the amount of consumables he bought from Mengwang. (15 mongoose, 20 giants, stacks)

If it was a real life money transaction, mengwang would just pass the consumables to him
or exiledblade would just trade mengwang 550 gold. there wouldn't be an equivalent of consumables and gold exchange.

His own account have around 900+ gold on it, and he have bank alts, so he's not short on gold (he didn't need to purchase any)

I hope my PM have enough evidences to provide support to Exiledblade's clause. He's a well known PVPers inside the rankings circle, and is one of our more prominent rogue players inside the chinese community. Their guild and ours <the alliance pub> have known him for a long while. His guild have asked me to write this appeal letter so that they can vouch for him collectively, below.

*update*'
Here are 2 IM screenshots mentioning the agreed upon 550 gold to purchase the consumables, 4 days before the ban. Timestamp on screenshot is september 19th. Exiledblade was banned on September 23rd.

Thank you GM of Nostalrius

I seriously wanna know the real reason that why my account was banned as I have not done anything which againsts the term of use. I sincerely hope this is a wrong ban because Propergamer1978 has clearly shown the details of the 550g trade serveral days ago. I bought these stacks of elixirs with market price for BWL raiding so it is a fair and legal trade. It took me like 3 months to be an R14 so there is no reason to take risk doing illegal things like trading gold. My guild need me because I am the essential core for both raiding and handling daily affairs. I am known by most of the Chinese players and they are just shocked when they knew my account was banned. My friends will probably leave this server if I cannot get my account back cuz they know I never buy or sell gold. What the Chinese community, my friends, my guild and I need is the truth and a fair decision on my account. Please review the case again since I never try to against your law on this server.

I find it kind of stupid to ban everyone who trades with a person who bought gold. By that logic I can never trade with anyone ever, since if they bought the gold I'd get flagged and banned anyway without any kind of warning or explanation. I assume the same thing happened here.

Ok firstly....

Those screen shots prove nothing - There are no timestamps and could have been made after the event with whatever accounts you want to use.

Do you have ingame screenshots?

Secondly - I am sure the GM's can check the trade logs and trace these transactions back and then the account be re-instated if this is indeed the truth.

As you made 6 trades all of 100 gold one after another it probably triggered an alert on the systems and that is why you got a ban (wrongly or rightly is to be determined) That being said - No-one should every be banned by proxy.

If someone has purchased gold and used that to buy or trade with other players, the other players should not be held accountable for such actions as that would be plain stupid.

Please do not hate on the GM's for banning accounts as they are actually trying to make things smoother for the playerbase.

Those screen shots have timestamps, and this was Chinese social software, named QQ, just like skype in EU or USA, i think its can prove that trade does not buy or sell gold. and i think GM have data, if them wanna review , can prove he just wanna buy something use for raid. r u going to BWL dont use any flask?
