Account banned for botting/multi-boxing

Dear Staff,

Me and my friend are having a lan party and all of a sudden my account "Firesti" got banned. My friend "Puffyfluffin" got whispered by a GM about the fact that i was botting and he was multiboxing. See screenshot below.



My friend arrived yesterday evening and he probably had the same IP-adress as of that moment . I hope you can check the IP-log of my friend and clearly see that he is usualy playing with a different IP-adress and that we are not botting or multi-boxing.

Please investigate.

I am keeping an eye on this thread because I had plans to invite my cousin to play over the weekend. I wouldn't want to risk his character or mine..

Yeah and right now it's horrible timing aswell. We were about to move our pc's to 2 other friends which we always play wow with and now sadly Firesti can't play anymore and we're forced to play other games. I hope the Nostalrius staff can solve this problem swiftly so we can just play wow together like usual.

Actually the chat log you posted means nothing as far as evidence goes. Neither does the fact that his account is associated with a different ip adress. The only thing that proves is that an account that wasn't yours was logged into at your ip adress. Doesn't prove that he was actually at your house.

The screenshot added was only to clarify the reason why I was banned, not to prove anything. I've never botted in my entire life so it's impossible for them to have detected anything of that kind. If you have any suggestions on how I can prove that I was not botting please let me know. I'll gladly turn on my webcam for a GM to show him we're actualy having a LAN though.

btw, i had lan's with friends a couple of times and we never had any problems with GMs.

It's my friends stratholme living group. His party was chatting while he received the message from the GM.

I'd just like to say that I've been playing games with both the players involved for several years now, both on Nostalrius and other online games. I've met them in real life and they're frequent visitors to my TS3 server. I know for a fact that they were lanning together, they were even on TS3 when the banning happened. For a large part of the day we had been running instances together. If there's anything I can do to resolve this case I'm eager to help.
