2 days ago, i seem to have gotten banned, and i would like to know why, as i don't think i did anything that would deserve a permanent ban.

My char name is Solanche and it is on the pvp server on alliance side.
The last thing i was doing before i logged of was stand around in Stormwind, when i tried logging back in later i was banned.

At the very least, maybe a proper explanation as to why this person is perma banned?

I just saw on your twitter account that 700! lvl 60's got banned on the day that i got banned.
In no way did i ever buy or sell any gold!

A few days ago, another rogue that was in the same guild that i am in, decided to stop playing/left the guild and he gave me a bunch of his stuff, mainly consumables and 1 blue belt. Please tell me that that was not the reason for my ban..

I am not responsible for anything that he might or might not have done.

I just found out that my account was banned in the recent anti-gold seller ban wave, as the reason given for my ban.

This is almost amusing as i can't stand goldsellers. Check my ignore list, it should be filled with them. Sadly there is only so much room on the ignore list (my ignore list was full) and lately the goldspam in trade had gotten so insane, annoying me greatly, that i started spamming goldsellers back in the hopes that they would ignore me. I have screenshotted these 'convo's' (it's just me going 'spam spam spam') and can provide them. Proving that that was in no means interaction between me and goldsellers. But only an attempt to annoy them into ignoring me, so i wouldnt have to see them anymore :/

Neither do i have a lot of gold really, i don't even have an epic mount yet. How even am i a goldseller or buyer? There shouldn't be any gold or items on my character that i've not gotten in a normal way. Except the items i got from a former guildie rogue named Skuido, when he quit.

I am in the same boat bro. It seems we have been caught in some sort of crossfire of the banned accounts.

Can vouch for Solanche, she is in my guild and has never done anything remotely bannable. The only thing i can think off is that she counter-spammed gold sellers that whispered her to get them to ignore her, but im certain that this isnt a bannable offence. At least give us an explanation as to why Solanche was banned.

Also Solanche i read a few things about people having their IP locked. You should check out https://en.nostalrius.org/password and see if this fixes anything

I know Solanche she is from my guild and i helped her alot so she can get some gear, i really doubt it she is selling gold since she cant afford her pre raiding gear ... i am 100% sure this player has never been selling gold to anyone, we were playing togheter alot, doing guild runs to gear our members almost all day long and i was very surprized she got banned, she is a key core member from our guild, and that makes us scared even to use trade chanell or buying FR gear from our tanks... it seems everyone can get banned just like that, i dont see a single reason her account to be suspended. With all my respect of your terms of use we can hardly defend ourselfs from hackers, most of the people in the server i beleave are not IT specialists... and it is true that everything can be hacked this days, the only thing we can do to defend our accounts is to put complicated password, log in on safe paces and not giving our account information, but defending against hackers is something that most of the people just cant do (common sense). Something if the porpose of this atacks is to harm our community i guess they are sucksesfull since the result is inocent people got banned... what if i decide to sell all of my gear and everything i have in the game get the gold and give it to someone else just because i want to stop wow ? do i have to write a ticker for it ? i think acting like this harms the community more than it helps to get rid of the gold sellers. i know the server is overcrowded, but i dont think this is the right way to get rid of 700 people (probably alot of them were guilty but meh... people like Solanche 100% not guilty!
