I haven't played in months, thought i would start up again but tried to log in only to find that i am banned? I haven't played in a long time how is it possible that my account was banned when i haven't even logged in.

Is it possible that someone hacked my account and did something against the TOS to ban me?

Character Name is SuicideSheep or GoofyGoose, havent played in a very long time and don't remember the name. I believe i played on the pvp server also, hopefully this is enough info.

Your account has never been banned.

If you are still having problems logging in, then there are two common reasons that might be the cause:

The first is that maybe you (or someone else) tried to log in too many times with an incorrect password. This causes a temporary IP lockout. Wait 30 minutes to 1 hour and try to log in again, or if you cannot remember the password, you can reset it at https://en.nostalrius.org/password.

The second is that you may have an IP address that is being declined due to a country IP lock on the account. Country IP locks are a new feature that have been put into place to help prevent account hacks. You can reset your country IP lock using the password change feature as well.

I did both of those options you have listed and it still says "my account is closed and no longer available for use". I'm so confused as to how i am even banned.

I've found the discrepancy.

Your character names are Suicidesloth and Goofygoose, not Suicidesheep.

The account associated with Goofygoose & Suicidesloth was banned for botting, specifically an anti-AFK bot in a battleground. This offence was confirmed by staff.

So the account is indeed banned.

I wasn't even playing when that happened, is it possible someone hacked my account and was hacking on it? Is there anyway i can get the account back?

Sorry you got banned,

According the TOU: "The account owner is responsible for the security of the account and that it's sufficiently protected. Note that Nostalrius staff does not recover hacked accounts."

I would look over good account security fundamentals for the future:

Never share your account information;
Have a unique and complicated password that does not exceed 16 characters;
Connect yourself from a secure computer and network;
Never download unsafe files that might contain viruses/malware.

How is it my fault i got hacked? I didn't even know i was hacked/banned until 4 months after it happened apparently. I havent played in months and when i came back i had to recover my hacked account and it was banned. Is there no way that my account can be unbanned?

They've restored accounts before who got hacked and usually review it under "compromised account review." Provide them with the last time you logged in (roughly) and you should also change your password on the account, here: https://en.nostalrius.org/password.

They may take a little while, but if you don't get a response on this thread in like a week or two (without bumping it), I'd even suggest starting a new thread and asking them to check it as a compromised account.
