Banned for trying to avoid a bug

Why would you say "You are banned until September 6th 2015 01:21:33 AM for the following reason: "FlyHackSwim(Tick:7)"." When it's a permanent ban? Kept my hopes up at first by saying it was a temporary ban but then shot it down. I would have rather just known it was a perma ban in the first place so I didn't stay up until 1:30 AM waiting to log in. I'm glad I know now rather than never I guess... What a shitty warden though, sheesh. It's so easy to cheat without being banned in so many ways, yet the cheat that doesn't actually affect other players is the one worthy of a perma ban. Guess I finally got what I deserved months ago. There's no way to get the 52 mage transferred to my other account though huh? What a shame to have lost my bud Zlix

Permanent bans list the time it was issued rather than the time it ends, server time. Your first post was made about 30 mins after the stated time.

The dude thought it was "ok" to hack because he was just trying to fix a server bug by himself and because it "wasn't hurting anyone else." It doesn't matter what nationality this guy is, he's a new breed of stupid.

I'm certainly nothing new. I never got banned from performing cheats that actually affected other players, like death cheating or speed cheating to escape PvP or kill other players. Just seems odd that I got banned for someone innocent but not for things that actually killed or made the the game shitty for other players.

You got banned because this was the first time you got detected. Any hacking or botting is punished with a permanent ban for the first offense on this server.

The warden is weak. Not as weak as Blizz warden, but hardly better. I'm not wondering why I got banned, so it's unnecessary to explain that to me.

Abathur has provided the OP with information regarding the ban. As noted by others, bans with an expiration display the date/time in which the ban will be lifted. Permanent bans, on the other hand, display the date/time the ban was applied. Keep in mind these date/times are all server time. This thread will now be locked.
