Banned for "scamming"

Apparently in addition to accidentally putting a small lustrous pearl in the COD mail, he also accidentally manually changed the name in the mail subject to a (misspelled) Righteous Orb...
The pizza level in my bloodstream is dangerously low.

We already discussed your ban in-game.

You were COD scamming Small Lustrous Pearls and saying that they were "Righeous Orbs". The only mistake you made in your scamming was a spelling mistake.

Your ban will not be lifted.

GM Team.

not that i'd care about people who are dumb enough to get scammed by CoD
but people like this (rautjarvi) should get banned too imo

Why?

You dont have to buy them....

You have to pay a listing fee so your entitled to put things on for whatever you want - If you sell them or not is a different matter - You can ban someone making thier own AH price up.

So if people get scammed by COD item switch they are dumb. But if they can't tell the difference between a stack of 20 and a single item then the seller should get banned? Sounds like someone has been duped by this old AH trick. Pay closer attention next time.

People aren't forced to accept the CoD mails as well. It's still a perma ban, right?

No. It's not exactly the same. If you're cod mailing an item to someone, you have obviously agreed on an item and a price for the item beforehand. Sending a different item is where the scam comes in. It's an obvious attempt to dupe the person into paying for something that you were not planning on selling them in the first place. Placing a single item for the same price as a stack of the same item is far different on a few levels.
First, you aren't advertising an item falsely. You listed a single item, they get a single item.
Second, you clearly listed the price for said item, and the buyer will receive that item for that price.
Third, the item that is listed is the one that will be recieved. There is no switcheroo happening between the listing of the item and the selling of the item.

Granted, it's very shady. I have never done it and will never do it. But, it's not against any server rules. Just try to be careful when buying on the AH.
