A lot of people are getting banned for gold trafficking these days. We had to call the raid in our guild tonight, since we had 3 people + our guild bank banned for the same thing. People say that there's a bad script somewhere, but I guess time will tell.

Hopefully they will fix the script. I know it's affecting lowbies who chat in trade and general, but once it starts affecting toons that you have worked on for months, it is quite alarming.

It's all we've been talking about in on our guild's TS since we're getting ready to start raiding . We are warning guildies that trading any items for gold will get them banned if the buyer has purchased gold. The AH is especially tricky because you have no control of the buyers actions, so the AH is BAD.

Moving to a barter system is the best bet -- one item for another item or items. It's a battle, because some people believe pixels that are gold and circular are worth more than pixels that look like herbs, ore, gear, etc. But if you are going to read the forums and come away thinking trading items for gold is safe, then you are foolish.

There are something like 15,000 active accounts and only a handful of volunteer staff to handle these things. Give them time to respond.

While I am sure Nathrizyr is just doing his job. his answer here just makes him look idiotic. Did he even read even read the OP's circumstances?

Surely these bans need to be double checked and the people who have been banned should be reassured that the ban will be double checked.

Look at all the false positives lately...
