all their actions here do is prove how inept they are at running a server, but i think we already knew that anyways. i guess they know we can't think less of them as it is. can't wait for corecraft

I doubt they have as detailed logs as retail has

and sorry to break it to you, but CC won't be as perfect as you expect it to be

Isn't CC going to be a TBC server anyway?

Unlike the Silithus mining incident, this was extremely cut and dried.

True, this exploit was super obvious.
However the ban threshold was way higher in the silithus mining incident for a good reason.
False positive bans still are not desirable at all...

False positive? Anyone who touched the bugged nodes got banned, and now they're going to manually unban the people who realized it was an exploit and took steps to not cheat.

nope, there also has been a threshold this time, many who only mined e.g. a herb 3 times and then stopped didn't get banned.
the ban wave did have false positives since factors such as creating a forum thread/in-game tickets can't be included

Mimma wrote:They had to chose one of three options, each worse than the other:
- Do nothing. Let people get away with bags full of thorium ore and black lotus'es
- Do a rollback since patch was released (more than two days ago)
- Stop exploiting by issuing a server warning, and ban all abusing after this server message.

Nostalrius chose the last solution, which meant people abusing bug until the server message was sent really do have a chance to be unbanned.

not true, i stopped like 30 minutes before they sent the server message, made a video how i deleted everything and have no chance of getting unbanned.

You traded your items to another character, and thereby broke the 3rd criteria. My statement therefore still stands.

so its worth a permanent ban because i traded the items before i deleted them? I would even trade 2 runecloth to my bank to keep my bags clean.

Let me quote what you wrote earlier yourself:

Hi, i dont meet the 3rd requirement but please take a closer look i deleted everything and just traded the Plagueblooms to my bank before like i do with everything to save bagspace and i havent sold anything!

So you didn't delete all herbs, and that is why your ban appeal got denied. Perhaps what you meant was "I sent the items to my bank, then deleted them", but it is not very clear, and this also contradicts the "3rd requirement is broken" statement. So if you really deleted the items, you messed up by writing jibberish ;-)
