The thing is guys, it is harmful for the server to provide information on bans, even if it was stating that these 5 accounts did something others didn't, the information would then be available from these 5 people for further exploiting. I'm all for keeping us in the dark about exploits but this whole ordeal still leaves a bad after taste, since we can't know for sure if the bans are warranted or not.

This is only true for unfixed bugs, hacking and botting.

In other instances it is the exact other way around. It is good for the server to let the playerbase know what behavior they do not want. And it is bad to leave the players guessing.

Right now the message is, do not mine/herb for more than 30 mins a day or you might get banned because something might be wrong with the spawn rate where you are.

Not in this case. Why? Because they already made what they were supposedly banned for impossible. It's like that bug where Rogues could do something (I forget what) to reroll what a junkbox dropped until they got something like an Alcor's out of it, then repeat that bug over and over to get really expensive BoE epics. That is no longer possible, so who cares who knows about that old method?

Who's to say they're always fixing everything? I imagine things like hunters farming dm was too big to ignore but I'm fairly sure they put some things on the backburner, Nostalrius has been chomping pretty big pieces lately with many projects at once, their resources must be pretty diluded at this point.

They indeed fixed this, I confirmed it on my rogue (a miner that was NOT banned). And I also took a close look at everything about what changed when they fixed it, so I can tell you the ONLY change was the spawn timer going from fixed 45 minutes to a random value, which appears to have a mean spawn time somewhat larger than 45 minutes.
