Banned for "hacking"

So I just started playing in this server and in less than 5 minutes I was getting kicked multiple times until I tried to login one last ime and it tells me that the account is closed. I checked https://en.nostalrius.org/account and it says this

You are banned until August 20th 2015 20:04:53 PM for the following reason: "HACKER".

Might this be because I'm using 1.12.2 instead of 1.12.1? Servers like Warsong and Valkyrie work fine.

Greetings Vidar,

Can you please supply us with the name of the character you were playing on when you were kicked and banned? And yes, you do need a 1.12.1 client in order to play on Nostalrius. Any other clients will be kicked and run the risk of getting banned.

Regards,
GM Radius

It's either Vidarpt or Vidarr. The account is Vidarr, don't remember the character but it's a female human warrior lvl1

I've downloaded 1.12.1, created a new account and have been playing fine so far now.

If it's an unmodified 1.12.2 patch, it isn't because of your patch. 1.12.1 => 1.12.2 just changed some language issues with the API and some other stuff due to whatever language it was. If you logged in successfully under rev 6005 (1.12.2.6005), the emulator accepts 1.12.1 and 1.12.2 clients. However, modifying files could lead to a ban.

I think I found the problem. I tend to leave Visual Novel Reader open to play some Japanese games and it might have tried to hook itself with WoW, leading me to a ban. I'm not entirely sure though, I don't remember if it was opened or not however I don't intend to find out again :P .

Does it attach onto processes or do you have to manually open a file inside the program? If it's all manually done, this shouldn't be the case either since it wouldn't edit WoW memory.

I think it tries to hook automatically with any game but i'm not sure. I don't have to do anything manually.
