Greetings GM Abathur.
I had a more indepth conversation with the guild and Daxiaojie(character name that was banned at the time)
The character
Daxiaojie from the above mentioned account is our guild's Second division MT/Raid Leader.
He was outstationed on work duty, and was playing from a internet cafe(in china) that have WOW client preinstalled in all the computers to lead our MC raid. Our guild have two core raid teams, and our raid time is on Thursday. 8pm our time (2pm server time).
He logged on (using ionlife.cn vpn) probably around 1:50 server time, did a few whispers, and then took the flightmaster to Searing Gorge, total time online before the server's redflag kicked him off is around 5 minutes or so. Afterwards he tried logging in , saw the message stating his account was hacked, and tried switching multiple times to other VPN IP lines thinking that it was an IP ban. (at that time he didn't know it was an account ban). After it failed he used another paid vpn (
http://www.47daili.com) to access his account which also couldn't log in.
After around 10 minutes of fumbling on his main account, he logged onto his alt rogue (character name:
Pamarence), and saw that he was able to log into the game. Using the
same machine. After whispering to a few person, he logged onto his mage (Character name:
Linafz), Mageported to Ironforge, Flightmastered to Searing Gorge, to attend the MoltenCore raid (
RAID ID: 11957 , Thursday, server time 2pm) all the way on the
same machine for 4 further hours of online time without being banned.
I and another 39 players, lead by our raidleader Marsback, was attending moltencore on another raid Instance (
RAID ID: 11699)
From what the guild have discussed with me, china's internet cafes have a lot of patchx.mpqs that previous users that might have placed inside (patch5.mpq is used to enlarge player's head, anime style. patch3.mpq is used to pass through doorways). So his computer probably triggered the server's hack alert.
However he was using the same machine on Linafz afterwards, went through Molten Core, then to Onyxia's Lair without any disconnects.
Would you be able to see if all the 3 mentioned characters (Daxiaojie, Pamarence, Linafz) were playing from the same machine?
Daxiaojie is our raidleader, and guild MT. He only usually log in once or twice a week, just to lead the guild's Moltencore raids.
Can I request that you again review his account suspension? Our usual MC clear time is around 90-100 minutes, so he wouldn't be using hacks all of a sudden during that day, for MC, with 39 other people looking at his leadership.
TL:DR-
Daxiaojie (60 human warrior)(Raidleader/Guild MT) was banned after 5 minutes, on a public internet cafe PC.
-he logged onto rogue alt on same PC. nothing happened.
-
Daxiaojie then logged onto
Linafz Mage on same PC, raided MC(id:
11957), raided Onyxia's Lair. no ban.
Extra guild background information belowBoth Marsback and Daxiaojie knows the importance of their position, and they don't need any gold or equipment/consumables as all expenses towards raid are provided for them automatically. They've witnessed countless of our guild members being banned, and they are the ones that warn us chinese player base to behalf on this server.
While <The Alliance Pub> is peasant class when compared to the more established guild on the server (Nope, Collations), we are player capped (guild capped 321 members most of the time) and is the foremost Chinese guild on Nostalrius (other being Friends, Blood Ride Fun, The Twillight, Never Land, Bl bu sha wo bu shi ren, and a new guildThese are the alliance side chinese guild). 10/10 MC, 9/10 BWL-PTR
We are doing a second BWL run on the PTR, and is refining our bug report over the past run and this one to be submitted to the bugtracker as well.
Sincerely,
Overwhelm , 60 Warrior
