Banned for trying to avoid a bug

I was stuck in Uldaman on my character, Zlix because one of the last doors shuts (which I don't think is normal). I didn't want to teleport out or hearth out because I still had a quest to do directly outside of the instance. I got very frustrated by the bugged door, so downloaded Cheat Engine and I tried to no clip through the door and got a short ban.

I don't really mind that much because I definitely think it's a fair punishment to ban someone for flying / using no clip, but I really just didn't want to have to walk all the way back to the badlands from Undercity. If you don't undo the ban, I understand, but I really don't feel like it's fair that I got banned for trying to get around a bug that shouldn't be in the game. I removed Cheat Engine from the computer right after it happened, but I don't really think it should have been a ban, the warden instantly stops people from cheating, so me trying to get around a bugged door doesn't seem like it should be a big deal (especially since it disconnected me INSTANTLY).

I'd like to hear feedback on server bugs regardless of if you guys care to unban me or not. I'm curious as to why I can't find any way to contact a GM as well, hopefully the forum is the answer to these questions.

Let me know what you guys think about the situation, it's pretty lame if you ask me. :?

Very logical thought process here.. Hmm private server bugged, I know ill go find download, install and use a hack. Forget the fact that this server has way better detection rate than blizzard and takes in very seriously no second chances given. Pure retardation

I wanted someone who's actually important like an admin or GM to answer, not a player. You're just adding insult to the injury already done. Also it's okay because it's just a 12 hour ban (Clearly they do give second chances), but I was seeing if I could get the question answered. Do you just go through the forum posts doing this?

Lol I regret making a forum post, what a waste of time. Can someone just tell me how to contact a GM or Admin? Ban isn't even much longer but I'm trying to get my Celestial Staff.

You downloaded and ran a cheat program, which is supposed to constitute a permanent ban with no chance of appeal, as explicitly stated by the ToU. Be grateful you're on a twelve hour break instead of something much more severe. It's your fault you didn't bother to read and/or respect the rules.

I do respect the honest answer, I'm obviously not going to cheat again since I almost lost my level 52, 33 and 44. It makes me glad that is server is so well run, I must say. Is there a way to contact a GM in game though? I would have just asked a GM to get me out of the instance if I could have contacted one.

It probably is a permanent ban. GMs are pretty strict as far as bots and hacking. Out of curiosity, when does it say the ban will end?

Salutations kawasou.

The account associated with Zlix has been permanently banned for hacking. We have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to these kinds of infractions. Accounts that are caught infringing on this policy will be closed and will remain permanently inaccessible. We have strict policies not to differentiate users or provide special treatment, regardless of the circumstances. You may continue to play by creating a new account and adhering to our Terms of Use going forward.
