Banned - for what?

Banned - for what?

by THEzundriel » Tue Sep 29, 2015 11:35 am

Dont delete this post, my friend wants an investigation as me and our guild mates!

First of all i wrote several ingame tickets for afkers/botting people at the battlegrounds and u always say, u cant ban them cause you re bound to some rules, tough this is a private server ... well okay.

Now i heard my reallife friend Nixxey got banned - for what? On what proof? There is no proof and one of your GMs put him into a "trial" with a rat and he had no chance cause his english isnt good. So he got banned because someone claims its his/her account but its exactly the other way round? We leveled together. He isnt an accountseller or one of those "chineselevelers"

His english is not very good, mine also - but i llt try to explain!

Weeks ago before we go to vacation together, we were hanging out in teamspeak with friends who play LoL and some other people. We started streaming Battlegrounds for the first time to show our mates what nostalrius is all about and so on. Nixxey made the failure to type his account data into the explorer instead of the game, but we gave this no attention as nothing happened. After the vacation his account was simply gone. Me - Zundriel - often saw the player "Nixxey" ingame and i was sure some other person was playing the account. Some people may took advantage of that failure and i cant really say WHO stole the account. You justify the ban because of the claim of some other guy maybe? Thats not okay, please investigate this! What i can say is - people never ever get banned for botting/"chinaleveling"/abusing BGs because you always told me you re bound to some rules. But here it is that easy to ban someone who really leveld this character? Yeah i critizise you but its not offensive, so finally give this post a chance! We want him back!

To move on. At first he quitted, he saw it as an good opportunity to quit the game again, but after weeks he tried to get his account back. He found the link to reset the PW with his email but it didnt work. It didnt work for like 1 week. But we found out his Mozilla was causing problems so resettet it with an other explorer. Thats why it took him so long to get it back. That was like 4-5 days ago. And i guess the guy who stole this account was now complainin? And you ban him just of simple complaints? My friend is the creater of this account and he got hacked. Its just that simple. And why should i play on when u just remove him from game.

His account simply got stolen. He is not an accountseller, he is not a "chinesefarm" our something like that!

You didnt even give him a real chance to explain and as i said he cannot speak/write english as good as some other people playing on this server.

So to be fair, give him his account back! I tried to explain the situation for him and there was never ever money or some other exchange like you thought going on - his account got stolen!

Give our guild this Paladin back or he will quit and i will also stop playing on this server, like a few other friends of us.

Pleas dont handle it the easiest way and just ban/remove him. Please just investigate this because this is just not right. Someone stole the account and now the real "thief" is responsible for this ban by simple claims? Please help us!

Players are responsible for their account security..
You friend should have changed his password immediately after showing it to his stream viewers............
Now that the account is compromised, the GM had no other choice but to ban it. Sorry but the only thing your friend can do is start a new character.

Sorry but all of this is irrelevant and not to mention doesn't prove anything.
There is nothing else to do but to start a new account, and to be careful with the password this time.

You tried this already. It isnt going to work this time either. Tell your friend to be more careful with his account info next time. Posting your account info on a stream is your own fault and no one elses. It doesn't matter if anot her person committed the offense that got his account banned. Your account, your responsibility.

But why a person who hacked got the might to claim "its my account" and is responsible for the ban. This person cant proof its his/her account because my friend got the necessary email account and he is able to use it. Just send an email with the necesary Data to reactivate the account and he will do. Its as easy as that. Dont ban cause one hacker just claims its his account.

Once again, account security is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If it gets hacked, that's your fault. Get a better password, or don't out your information on stream. He got hacked, the hacker broke the terms of use, so the account got banned. You won't get anything else here, because all you're doing js asking for special treatment. Every single person with this problem stayed banned, and you/your friend will too.
The level of whining about bans on the forums is at an all time industrial level.

So....

Your friend streamed his login details across the internet in error.......

Then he and you thought nothing of it........

His account got hacked due to this and you post on how unhappy you are that HE made a mistake - HUGE MISTAKE and the terms of use should be ignore becasue he cocked up?

The terms clearly state that you are responible for your own account - If you allow a third party to gain access due to poor security then you are still responsible.

Streaming your login deatils would constitue a lack of security (Even though it was not intended)

He has no leg to stand on with his appeal - His actions resulted the banning of his account.

I do feel for him but you cannot hold anyone else accountable for his own actions.

I want a statement from one of the GMs here, i dont give attention to your negative attitude. They didnt ban him straight. They teleported him to GM Island, asked him 2 questions which he couldnt answer in good english and THEN they banned him.

So why didnt they ban him straight? Maybe he still got a chance and i will try it because it is unfair.

Our negative attitude?!?

What questions did they ask him and what answers did it give? May be we could understand a bit better if you explained the situation in full.

Either way - He could be banned for account sharing as he gave up the details....just saying.
