Hello,

It seems my account has been banned for using the Cross Faction AH between my horde and alliance character. I read through the ToU and did not see anything against this. I used gold I collected on my horde character to buy some things from my alliance character. I didn't believe this to be illegal as the server takes a fairly substantial amount of gold transferred through this process.

My Alliance character is named Ghostson, Horde character is named Shakkakhan. Please let me know if I can have my account unlocked, or if this was actually against ToU and I am out of luck.

What does your ban say? You have a chance of getting unbanned if it says something about a forbidden gold transaction, assuming all of the gold involved in the exchange was legitimate.

I am not a GM ghost, but you can use the neutral Ah to exchange gold cross faction. That isn't an issue in and of itself.

It indeed says Forbidden Gold Transaction. All of the gold involved was definitely legit. I sold a bunch of items on the Horde AH, collected the gold and then bought items on the cross faction AH from my alliance character.

I've read through ToU about a dozen times now and can't see any mention of this being against it. Fingers crossed I get unbanned, I just hit 60 a little over a week ago on my Alliance toon

That is reassuring Diametra, thank you for the clear response! I shouldn't have anything to worry about then, just the waiting game.

Update on this. While the login site does not say my Horde account has been banned, if I try to login to it I get a message saying "This account has been closed".

I don't really care about my Horde account now that my Alliance toon is 60, but this furthers my belief that I was banned for using the Cross Faction AH.

I will wait quietly for a response now. Thank you.

On a second attempt I can successfully login into my horde account. Just posting for clarification.
