[Approved] Ban appeal - cheat detector false positive

Hello, this is a ban appeal for the character Xiaopijiu , level 60 Warrior.

He was playing in Arathi Basin last friday, and at some point experienced a lag spike, then all of sudden he was disconnected and unable to log back in, with the message "Your account has been closed". The ban reason on the website just says "Cheat" (His usual ping is between 350 and 500 ms, and he says that after the lag his character jumped 30 meters ahead)

It seems to me that because of this lag spike, his character was flagged by the server's anti-speedhack system.

This player has been playing on nostalrius for close to 5 months without any problem, and obviously would not do something as stupid as attempting to hack..

Can you please review this? Thank you

Why isn't he appealling himself?

Been a while since a chinese player got unbanned, will be interesting to see if that trend continues.

I am writting the appeal on his behalf because his english is not the best.
A chinese player got unbanned for the same problem this morning so I hope the same thing will happen here

That means nothing, every case should be investigated without any cross-reference.

This characted was banned 5 days ago and we are still waiting for review. Please advise if you need me or xiaopijiu to do anything. Thank you

Note that case resolutions are in accordance to consistent and principled policies which are considered final when issued. Processing cases that has already been concluded keeps the Nostalrius staff from processing other users' urgent support requests. If a user repeatedly creates multiple tickets and/or threads regarding the same closed issue, or otherwise misuse the respective system, they will be asked to stop, and if ignored, they will receive a sanction on all their account(s).
