Cant create character & Login issues on website

First problem:
I have downloaded the client (OS X), and got everything to work with login into the game. So far so good, but when i try to make a character i only get: That name is unavailable. Of course have i tried with different names and shorter & longer ones. But nothing seems to help. What am i doing wrong or whats wrong?
Second problem:
I can log on to the game, but can't connect to the website anymore. I have also tried to reset my password, but it stopped working after i got home from work. I do not share the same acc name as my acc name for website/game.
