My characters have now been deleted twice. The same person has done it, once from my computer and once just yesterday. It is entirely my fault to not change my password after the first incident. I levelled 2 night elf priests, first to 43 and second to 36. I get that GMs enforce and no retrieval policy but I would at least like to talk to one. I like this server and have spent a considerable amount of time here and I know the GMs are quite busy, but if one could afford a little bit of time that would be great.

Ok, so basically I understand your policy. I understand you don't retrieve characters. I first would like to state a case against it and hear what the gm team's reasons for the policy. Firstly, I am not trying to sell an account by retrieving a character, it was not deleted by me. I would just prefer to play my level 36 or 43 priest both of which have been deleted by people who I did not give my account password to. This sounds naive, and it is, but the person was close to me a knew what my password would likely be. Now, I would just like to hear the reasoning behind the policy. If you cannot retrieve either of these characters for me, can you explain why (logistically or because of another reason). I do not want you to feel like you need to provide a long winded response, simple one sentence points are fine. But I would like to know the reasoning. For example is it because you believe people may sell accounts or you do not want people who intended to delete their character to abuse the privilege of getting the character back, or anything, etc. I don't know I just am presenting examples as to why maybe this policy is in place. If you cannot get my character back, its unfortunate but I understand - its policy - however i would like the piece of mind of knowing the logic or reasoning behind the policy. Thank you.

I'm sorry. Let me post more detailed information. The first character I levelled was a 43 priest named Malahadad. The second was a 36 priest called Malahadad, both night elfs. The second time there were alts as well but I really don't care about those. The characters were deleted. The first incident was because I keep my account name saved on the login. The person deleted the characters while i was not present and I did not realize until later. At that point I had read your policy and figured, there's no chance I may as well level again. This person remembered my account name, which is admittedly naive, and I did not change the password. I am currently on the server with the same username and password, I do not intend to change the password until I have one of those characters back. I simply see no point in re-levelling now. I understand you are very busy but I like this server, and I know the GMs are extremely busy but please respond to the thread or send a private message if you would like the information you give to me to be private. Thank you

Character restoration is a feature that we are not yet ready to offer. It may be considered in the future.
