Character Sunsi - PVE Server

Walking through IronForge, had just bound a new character in the Inn.

Your instructions are awesome, by the way... Forum post detailing to log into the website to see why you are banned... but no... it just says banned permanently. No reason.

You could try being respectful to the staff that has provided you with a free form of entertainment. It really does go a long way for people who volunteer their time and energy.

That was the respectful version. Or, it shows more respect than I was shown by them.

This can only go a couple of ways...

1. Some admin was negligently careless with the Mouse, and banned me by mistake instead of someone else. The implication is that the admin was so completely careless that the guilty got away scott free and they gunned down an innocent bystander because they could not be bothered to even check what they were doing while employing their nuclear option...

or... they did realize their mistake, but cared so very little about me that they saw no reason to go back and fix their mistake.

2. Some admin was getting his jollies picking off people at random. Will they admit this, or lie to cover for their guy?

Now, given that I know these are the entire two possibilities, and that I came to the proper forum, and read the proper instructions, AND discovered that the proper instructions are a complete joke, and I made a post, only to discover this forum is moderated, meaning I have to wait for the post to be allowed, and then I have to wait for someone to notice it, and then I have to wait for someone to investigate...

Would you like to go over again which side of this dispute is being disrespectful?

There is an automated program that tries to identify gold sellers by chat messages sent at low levels. You might have been caught as a 'false positive' by that system. Gold seller spam is a real problem here.

But I have to say, your attitude is not helping anything. The GMs will investigate and likely unban you if you it's an invalid ban. But do realize that it is also an offense to be disrespectful to the staff, who volunteer their time to provide this server to you.

Perhaps try to be more reasonable?

Your entire approach is disrespectful. If you really feel you were banned by mistake, then show a bit of patience. Realize that there will always be some false positives in any system. Give the staff some time to sort it out. Making accusitory posts in your own thread and other peoples threads is not going to hurry your case along.

And I maintain that my current attitude is precisely in line with what should be expected.

Let's be honest here. I am out exactly 30 minutes of playtime. I have lost considerably more playtime on my PVP server characters, but I care NOTHING for them. Creating a new account is 30 seconds. This is about proper behavior. Impatience is hardly an issue here.

My entire chat history was to ask if any NA EST guilds were recruiting, and if there were a need for a specific class? If this tripped the automated gold spam alert, there is a serious flaw in the program. This is compounded by the fact that the program is set to permaban. Given the sheer number of repeated gold seller adverts I was busy typing ignore to just two months ago, the feature is either new (and extremely buggy) or completely ineffective.

I have not been disrespectful to the staff. I have not insulted their religion. I have not made accusations about their parentage. I have not inquired unto their region of birth or assaulted their family history. I have made no unsubstantiated accusations. Finally, I have not disparaged their intelligence.

It is not disrespect to point out a failure.

Maybe you just don't understand what being disrespectful really means. Making baseless accusations about the staff, for one, would fall into that category. Such as stating that the only 2 possibilities for your ban are either complete incompetence or random acts of malevolence toward the player base.
Not once have you allowed for the fact that there may have been a false flag placed on your account by the automated gold spam system.
You have also made the same type post in another person's thread. This in itself is very disrespectful. Give the staff time to investigate. They will give you an answer one way or another. Making accusations about the intent of your ban before you give them time to respond is also disrespectful.

Greetings,

We, the staff, have not disrespected you nor any other player in any way. Per the server Terms of Use, you must keep all discussions with staff polite and respectful. Just because you *think* you got banned by mistake does not give you any right to accuse staff or admins of carelessly banning you, which we never do. I forwarded your case for investigation less than two hours after you created this thread. The least you could do is have a little patience, as there are lots of other cases besides yours that require our attention as well.

From here on out please keep this thread respectful.
