I was in Azshara, fishing and I just reattached a lure to my rod and blam. Disconnected and suddenly can't log in. Check on forums and account has been 'permanently banned'.

So out of curiosity, G19 macros are bannable? I'll let my friends know then.

All forms of automation outside of macros inside the game are considered botting.

Well that's news to me I guess, thanks?
I was using the inbuilt features of my keyboard to reattach lures to my rod just so I wouldn't have to keep clicking on them, I was lazily watching a first season of something on my main monitor with my splash sound turned up and wow on my second monitor.
I know a couple of guys who fish similarly, I'll let them know to stop using lure macros.
