Hey Nost - Team,
Today I tried to log into my account. I didnt played since August I think. Now my password is incorrect, so I changed it into a new one, because I'm the OO of this account. So, why I got banned permanently?
Character: Featuure, 60 Orc Hunter

Account trading/selling is against our terms of use and leads to a permanent ban. This account has been banned for that reason.

well, as i wrote, i wasnt online since august. i didnt sell that acc, i just wann play again on nost :/
any possibility to get my char back?

The account was banned on September 12. This and the fact that you had to change your password may mean the account was hacked, which led to the indication of account selling/trading and subsequent ban. In either case accounts that are banned for these reasons will remain banned.
So no, this ban will not be lifted. Feel free to create a new account, but we suggest you review your security practices.

so if an account will be hacked and sold, u had no chance to get it back? whats the logic behind that?

because account sellers would use "being hacked" as an excuse to retrieve the account

The logic is that people use these tactics for exactly what happened to you. They gain access to your account, they use it to buy/sell gold, or they sell the actual account and they don't have to worry about the consequences. If the staff were to reinstate these accounts it would just create a perpetual issue, since you cannot change the username of an account, they would only have to gain access to your password the second time around. Making it much easier for them. Then you would just rinse and repeat. You can see how this would be a huge waste of time for the staff, and would hardly help to solve these type of issues.

Account security is your responsibility. Far too many use their ingame name or forum name as account name, which makes accounts easier to hack.
I dont know if this is the case here, but keep this in mnd if/when you create a new account since hacked account will not be restored.
